Leland hevner, author of “the perfect portfolio”

In my capacity as President of the National Association (NAOI) I, Leland Hevner, interact with individual investors on a daily basis - hundreds per year. What they are telling me about their investing experience with financial advisors does not bode well for the health of the investing industry. Many of these people left the market in the 2008-2009 crash as their portfolios crashed. Many more will leave the market as a result of the Corona Virus crash. And they will not return until they are offered an alternative approach to Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT), today’s unquestioned industry standard. MPT was introduced to the market in the 1950s and it can no longer cope with modern market volatility. See more on why investing must change at this link.

The only way to stop this growing exodus from the market is for the industry to offer a new, innovative investing approach capable of enabling investors to take advantage of market price uptrends while providing absolute protection from market crashes. The NAOI has created the approach needed in the form of Dynamic Investment Theory and Dynamic Investments to do just that. We are in the process of creating two books, one for individual investor and one for investing professionals, that are discussed below on this page.

Release Date

Our original release date for each book was the third-quarter of 2020. But because of the unprecedented volatility of the market today caused by the Corona Virus, we are moving up the release date to June, 2020 at which point you will be able to purchase them in the NAOI Store. We will announce their release via our NAOI Updates Email list that you can join at the bottom of this, or any, page on the site.

An Introduction to Dynamic Investments and Market Sensitive Portfolios

For investing professionals

For investing professionals

This book of about 70 pages is targeted at the financial services industry. It explains why change is needed to meet the needs of individual investors and how these needs are met by the Dynamic Investing approach. The book expands on the areas discussed in the “Dynamic Investing” area of this site and provides additional critical information for effectively applying DIT methods to all areas of the investing industry.

Investing advisors and other industry pros who read this book will learn how to create superior investing products that produce returns in all market conditions than MPT portfolios, with lower risk and the absolute protection from market crashes.

NAOI students who have been taught how to use DIs and Dynamic Portfolios tell us that this is the approach that will enable them to enter, or re-enter, the market with confidence and without fear. And they will flock to advisors and financial organizations that offer it. Those that don’t will struggle to explain why.

The NAOI also offers consulting services to assist the financial services industry to take full advantage of this innovative, dynamic approach to investing.

High Return, Low Stress Investing - A Dynamic Investment User Guide

for individual investors

for individual investors

Written for use by the investing public, this short and easy to read book shows individual investors of all experience levels how to take full advantage of Dynamic Investing. It explains in the simplest terms what Dynamic Investments (DIs) are and how they can produce returns that are significantly higher than MPT portfolios in all market conditions with lower risk and absolute protection from market crashes.

This is the book that will give individual investors the confidence to enter the market in significant numbers without the risk and stress of holding the “static”, buy and hold MPT portfolios that they are taught to purchase today.

The book also show individuals how to implement and manage several NAOI designed DIs and Dynamic Portfolios using an online broker if they can’t find an advisor that offers them.

This is the book that will stop the individual investor outflows from the market that will certainly result from owning MPT portfolios that are crashing before their very eyes while advisors tell them to just hold on. DIs automatically get people out of the market when a crash is apparent and back in when the recovery commences.

How Dynamic Investments will go “Mainstream”

You can see that the NAOI first creates demand via our education channels and the above discussed High-Return, Loss-Stress book that will reach a significant portion of the market via Amazon. Then we show the financial services industry how to meet this demand via the Introduction to Dynamic Investments book, described above and NAOI consulting services that are discussed at this link.

How the NAOI is uniquely positioned to take Dynamic Investments main-stream is discussed at this link.
